About the project
For the crates.gr logo, an online store for plastic crates and storage equipment, the shape wrapping the .gr suffix is an open hexagon: the outline of a container seen from an angle, drawn with a single continuous line.
Choosing orange shifting into red gives the brand warmth and movement in a sector that usually speaks in greys and blues. The colour stands out both on a warehouse shelf and on screen, and holds its intensity even at small sizes.
The typography is round and open, with the name reading as an address rather than a company name, because the address is where the customer ends up. The logo works on packaging, signage, workwear and print, and the hexagon functions as a standalone symbol.
